The process of globalization brings an intense cultural and economic exchange based upon communication, and the necessity of qualified interpreters and translators is growing.
The goal of the course is to educate the students to gain interpreter/translator abilities necessary to be a successful businessman/woman in Japan or their home countries by providing instruction on effective Japanese communication skills and the fundamentals of the profession.
Information sessions are held for the International Interpretation/Translation Course and Japanese Language Teacher Training Course. An admissions officer and/or a teacher will discuss the academic programs and the application process. Mini lessons may be available on designated days. | Eligibility | ・Completion of 12 or more years of conventional education in a country other than Japan. ・Eligible for admission into college or university in the country. ・Holds one of the following qualifications. 1.Applicant has received Japanese language education for 6 months or more at a Japanese language institute accredited by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education.
2.Applicant has passed level 2 (N2) or higher in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, administered by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services and Japan Foundation.
3.Applicant has received a score of 200 or above in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students administered by Japan Student Services Organization.
4.Applicant recognized to possess the equivalent Japanese language ability as mentioned above.
